Re: Favorite Maverick from each game

Going off of what I remember from playing the series: Mega Man X: Storm Eagle (I don't have a strong affinity for any of the Mavericks in this game, but Storm Eagle is alright I guess.) Mega Man X2: Wheel Gator (I dunno. I just like 'em.) Mega Man X3: Blizzard Buffalo (The only one that doesn't make...

Thoughts on the X Series, and Hopes for X9

So I've recently played all I care to of the entire mainline Mega Man X series via Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2, and while I was initially kind of iffy on the series since I liked the classic series a ton, the run through got me to like it quite a bit. I like the more involved story, though it...

If not all explosive attacks, Landmine Blocks should be able to be destroyed by Raging Destroyer.

I can't say I know for sure but there is a decent chance the artwork was made for the soundtrack itself, and doesn't appear in any game.

I agree this should be added, especially considering that it's actually also in the gameboy mega man 5
IIRC that one is entirely different since the water fall appears in short bursts and removes collision from the ground tiles that it washes over.

Re: Waterfall and running water.

My idea is that they are added separately. The waterfall will work the same way as the waters already present in the game, occupying 1x1 in the editor and filling the tiles that are below it. It will reduce the player's jump height. The current water will also occupy 1x1 in the editor and will work...

Re: System of advances or snapshots of new versions of MMM.

Do you mean having access to the showcased assets? I don't know how feasible is the idea since the enemies would require to be in the data.win files and an update is needed to get them. Yeah, I think they're suggesting something similar to Minecraft's Snapshots. Honestly it's probably six to the on...

Re: Megaman & Bass, MMV (GB) and some other Content

This has crossed my mind as well. Even Bass' custom colors don't fully cover his torso, but his black armor remains black in MM&B. I imagine the Devs will approach it with a mixture. Using Bass' custom colors, but more fully change his armor color like it does in 8-bit MM10 style. 🤔 I'm thinking we...

Re: Dimming - when screen changing.

Implementation suggestion: Rather than a level object, add an extra icon to screen borders. I feel like that would be the most convenient way to toggle it, with the only downside being that accidentally hitting a toggle when using the map goes up a bit (though that would probably be pretty minor).

Re: Boss difficulty tier list for a boss rush level?

Here is my list for Mega Man, buster only, no weaknesses, Mega Man 6 charge, slide enabled, and in a flat room. Note that aside from S tier, there isn't really a hard line between tiers, and the order within tiers isn't too strict either unless there is a big gap between the Robot Masters. S: Unbeat...

Re: What would make Mega Man 11 worth the $30 it costs?

tl;dr, they can take a Smash Ultimate approach to the next Mega Man game. You probably meant same engine, otherwise new game type deal, but I can't help but picture a game with all 88(+ more counting non-numbered titles) Robot Masters, weapons, and such. - Mega Man music should be ROCK, and NOT tec...

Re: Copy Robot

While most of the Wily bosses require specific terrain for the most part, are very large, or difficult to program, copy robot stands out because it's very similar to a robot master, it has about the most bland movement AI in the series that does work with uneven terrain even though his arena in Meg...

Re: Water Pillar

At first glance the thought occurred to me "Isn't this basically what fans are?" .. But if we think further on the usage of this object.. Can be turned on/off in sequence (unlike fans) Can be used with Oil Slider (like D-Man stated) Can be frozen with ice weapons (maybe?). Can be mingled with fire ...

Like how they got characters to shout the names of special moves in Mega Man X Street Fighter? I think full sentences would get lost in translation there.

So you want an invisible object that moves water (and acid) tiles up and down? If we were to add something like that, might I also suggest a setting that flips it so that it acts like it does in Centaur Man's stage?

Re: Wily Challenges are never going to be good until voting is re-done, and the server is wiped

It might just take a while to truly sift through all the levels and wait for the likes and dislikes to pile up. I believe that the Wily Challenge is going to be where a lot of levels get thrown into the tester since if it's like before, the only levels you're really going to find otherwise are the o...

Huh, neat............ Not much you can do with those but whatever, they're a nice addition I suppose.
They do seem to also work as a unique barrier type as well. Otherwise yeah, they're mostly just a different sort of item pickup. Still neat though!
