It looked like the flames were moving faster while going down. I wonder if it's just like that or if there will be speed options (presumably at least "slow" and "fast" with maybe a middle option or two as well).

Am I missing something or are these full-screen water screens new? I don't see water at the tops of the screens. The screen connectors have a tendency to randomly switch between open and closed while editing a level. For anyone who hasn't tried it yet:

Try turning on vsync for MMM in your graphics card control panel. While this hasn't worked for everyone who has tried it, it did work for me, so it is worth a shot.

I think the game FPS is dropping when updated to 1.5.3. What happened? I had FPS issues with 1.5.3 as well. I managed to fix it by turning vsync on for MMM (go into your graphics card control panel and turn on vsync; I don't know what kind of card you use so I can't me much more specific than that)...

So 1.5.3 seems to have messed with something. The program runs very slowly for me now. It was running perfectly about half an hour ago, before the update. So I managed to resolve my issue by activating vsync for MMM in the NVIDIA control panel. I don't know why I had to do it for 1.5.3 and not any ...

I was playing the boss rush example level and after defeating the third boss (I did Ice, then Cut, then Time), I grabbed the key just as it spawned out of the dead boss, but then the portal didn't spawn, forcing me to restart the level.

Not really, no. They're close-ranged contact damage weapons but not exactly melee in a normal sense.

If this is purely random, then there's no real way to reproduce it consistently. In other words, no way to fix it unless it's a bug we can reproduce on the spot. It's likely an issue with the collision detection on tiles. Short of an overhaul of that system, I'm not sure it can be fixed reliably. H...

The immediate flashing has to do with the color swapping, between adapters, and regular megaman IIRC. When charging the Power Adaptor and the Super Adaptor, Mega Man's outline flashes blue. I don't remember exactly what it was in MM6, but I know it wasn't blue. It was probably red. Super Adaptor should probably be the same, since that's how it likely would have been had the game been 8-bit.
