I could have sworn it was specifically pointed out that this still worked?

EDIT: To clarify, teleporters still work as usual in boss fights, as long as the other end of the teleporter is in a screen that's connected to the one that the boss is in.

Screen transitions, boss doors, and portals to outside the boss room are all automatically locked during boss fights. You have to go well out of your way to NOT force it.

You could make them different color settings on one enemy, like the Bomb and Rock Thrown enemies.

The Smash copy ability gives Kirby some moves from their Smash Bros. moveset. Omega Man is suggesting that Mega Man could have something similar. Further experimentation with Astro Gates reveals that they simply cannot change direction while they are already moving. Astro Gates will only move exactly once from a button pressed while the door is out of section, no matter how much you mash the corresponding button. This makes it difficult to track the state of gates between sections.

Using Bass' double-jump while Flame Sword is active causes Bass to swing it a second time, interrupting the first swing and playing no sound effect.

Boss fights that don't interrupt stage music

With the addition of multiple bosses, I think it would be nice to be able to set a Robot Master midboss to not interrupt the music of the stage at all, similarly to the refights in Mega Man 1.

If you teleport into a boss room using a Portal (MM9), pause the game before the boss starts filling their healthbar, and then restart from a checkpoint during the healthbar-filling phase, the healthbar filling noise continues until the next time you pause the game.
