Because the difference between an E-Tank and an M-Tank is HUGE. You get a free refill for your health and ALL of your weapons. If you have a lot of weapons in a stage and are using them frequently, that's a huge benefit! It's what makes the item so powerful and why you're only allowed to collect on...

I don't think that's a bug. A simple fix is to not have the screen transition which would be the responsibility of the level maker.

As much as I love big updates I think there's some merit on shrinking the size of content for each update. The bigger the update the more opportunity for bugs and errors to slip through. I wholly advocate for weapon descriptions ingame on the weapon pause menu, that could potentially be extremely helpful for newcomers to MMM who have no idea what weapons can do. Can see how some would think the 'collect characters'-thing would be too much and mention how some old levels in one way or another wouldn't work as intended anymore. The team has grandfathered different aspects of MMM before (leaving old legacy material in while adding new to replace it), perhaps ...

I agree that all bomb weapons should explode on contact, I also find it very underwhelming that it does not explode on contact. ??? I think perhaps a small thing they could add with napalm bomb, is they could make it so it always explodes on contact, even if it doesn't kill the enemy. Because watching a little peanut crawl along the ground, just to have it disappear on contact with a slightly bulky enemy is a bit anticlimactic....
