Flash Man 8-bit demake - Smash Ultimate version

I liked the chord progression in Smash Ultimates take on Flash Man, so I turned it back into 8-bit: (now including the .nsf-file) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASx4lbnbvRI

Maybe I'll do more of those.

My Powered Down Project is progressing ... slowly ...

I'm attempting to recreate Powered Down im Mega Man Maker and after the Intro Stage (ID:269134) and Ice Man (ID:271519) just released my rendition on Time Man (ID: 322986). Simultaneously I'm recreating the soundtrack from this game, currently featuring Ice Man and the boss theme. Both playlists for...

Re: Mega Man X Super Smash Bros. - unofficial soundtrack

well, actually something I have never heard of are Gameboy versions of Bomb Man and Guts Man, so that's an idea You mean like in the first "Dr Wily's Revenge" / "Rockman World"? Their take on the robot master themes does sound great and I'm disappointed they didn't use that for other games. But abo...

Re: Mega Man X Super Smash Bros. - unofficial soundtrack

these "negative" responses are not negative, like saying there was some missing I guess, you're right. Saying nothing about the songs and discussing something else (like missing songs) does not seem positive, but it really doesn't need to be negative. I probably just expected too much from all of y...

Re: Mega Man X Super Smash Bros. - unofficial soundtrack

ok, some feedback, they only really sound like the 8 bit versions of their source material, not megaman Really? Were the more energetic basslines for naught? The classic Mega Man drums? I really thought that especially the credits would fit a Mega Man game pretty well. Could it be that you automati...

Re: Mega Man X Super Smash Bros. - unofficial soundtrack

I unfortunately don't have much experience or knowledge in the field of music, so I don't think I'm really a good person to ask when it comes to determining what is "good" or "bad" music, so I don't think my feedback would be worth all that much. It is good thing to know someone's own limits, but I...

Re: [FINISHED] Blast Man Famitracker Cover

The pitch sliding instrument in the intro sounds off. I would probably try to pin it down as the fifth to the melody sliding from a to f# (to the melodys d to h) like in the original instead of your e to d. Other than that, I think this one is even better than your Bounce Man! Then again I think the...

Re: Bounce Man's theme in 8-bit (FINISHED)

Sounds nice! The first version sounds like a song from a NES Megaman game, while the added DPCM channel does offer a stonger, fitting beat. There's just one minor mistake I heard at 0:17: The high instrument in the background should start of with "c# d" instead of "h c#". Other than that it sounds c...

Re: Mega Man X Super Smash Bros. - unofficial soundtrack

No music track for the "Robot Master" boss fights? Well, if you have a suggestion for a Smash song to base it on, because that's what this playlist is about. I would prefer to use a song based on the Smash Bros. soundtrack instead of an entirely original song, but haven't found some good ideas yet....

Mega Man X Super Smash Bros. - unofficial soundtrack

While "Megaman X Street Fighter" might not be a good Megaman game, the idea of Megaman fighting eight "robot masters" of an other franchise does sound interesting and I was like "what if Megaman had to face off against Super Smash Bros.?" While I don't know anything about programming, I thought my F...

Re: Escape from the room [ID: 271687]

This is a cool concept. In the first screen(s) you teach the player what's going on, which is nice. Sadly, it all ends when stuff is getting interesting and challenging. 2 additional "rooms" with slightly more challenge would've been awesome. nicely done. I'm glad you liked it. Yes, the stage is pr...

Re: Mega Man Powered Up - Intro Stage (Powered Down Project) [ID: 269134]

I think that's the point. Powered Up was a pointless game. If the stage felt pointless, he recreated it pretty well. @OP I'm sure you're a good guy, but work on original ideas imo. Recreations are lazy, and Power Up was a really bad game that doesn't need a recreation lol I have a bit trouble accep...

Thanks for the positive responses! If you enjoy this concept, feel free to create a stage on your own and tell me about it - I'd love to see more stages like this!

Re: Mega Man Powered Up music?

That's true. There a lot of different versions of songs that could be included like the Gameboy games versions, Cutman and Woodman from Megaman 8, so it might be a bit much to be asked.

I'm glad you liked my cover though!

Mega Man Powered Up - Ice Man (Powered Down Project) [ID: 271519]

Powered Down Project - demaking Mega Man Powered Up - continues. Ice Man's first. His stage is as slippery as ever. If you don't forget to jump instead of walking short distances, you should be fine. There are some parts which I had to change, so it plays more like the original. Mainly: The water di...

Mega Man Powered Up music?

I'm currently recreating the levels from Mega Man Powered Up, which made me think: Would it be a good idea to include 8-bit demakes of the Powered Up soundtrack? They have a slightly different style and all robot master songs got their key changed to major. I decided to try demaking these songs and ...

Escape from the room [ID: 271687]

If you exit the screen on one side, you get transported to the next. Usually. But what happens when you simply reenter the screen? This level is inspired by a concept which can be found in a few different games and was somewhat challenging to recreate in Mega Man Maker since I had to recreate the "r...

Re: Mega Man Powered Up - Intro Stage (Powered Down Project) [ID: 269134]

I don't know if this was intentional, but every screen in the level is separated by hard transitions, which just makes the level a lot slower than it has to be. Also, Crash Man and the Big Eyes are pretty pointless, considering they can be made to jump off-screen, and Crash Man just glitches in pla...

Mega Man Powered Up - Intro Stage (Powered Down Project) [ID: 269134]

Demakes, demakes everywhere! Megaman 7 & 8 got their fan demakes, but how about Mega Man Powered Up? Since Mega Man Maker has pretty much all enemies from that game in their 8-bit form, I decided to recreate those stages, starting with the Intro Stage. This stage is an easy, but very colourful stage...
