Re: Elec Man

I'm not really sure why people are so stuck to this "4 RMs per game" structure. I can't speak for everyone else, but the reason I think this way is because the Devs have added four RMs for 1 through 6, so my guess is they would want to bring the total to four for MMs 7 through 11. Its going to even...

Re: Elec Man

I don't think Elec Man has a chance of being in 1.7. I think the Developers will add a total of 4 new RMs picked from Mega Man's 7 through 11 in this update. The reason I believe this is that MM 1-6 each have 4 RMs currently represented, while 7 through 11 currently have only 2 each. The Dev team wi...

Re: Slightly disturbing realization...

We all know the Devs prefer to keep the RM patterns as canonically as possible, but we also acknowledge that minor changes are acceptable. Royal Guard posted a link on the MMM Wiki on minor RM changes. I cannot find it to post a link. :\ I would think tweaking jump behaviors would be a minor change,...

Re: Things we should probably give up on...

Having all 88 Robot Masters from MM1-11: We'll be lucky if we get 6 from each game. Not only because bosses are the second-hardest component to program (relatively complex AI compared to everything else), but also because every game (except MM9) has at least ONE boss that is not viable (said boss h...

Re: Button Raft

Since lava isn't in the game yet, I suggest they be able to float in water and chemical solution instead. I hope both Lava and the Button Raft simultaneously make it in, would be an excellent multi-object package. Being able to use the Button Raft in multiple liquid surfaces would be an excellent w...

Re: Slightly disturbing realization...

Limitations of the engine could be an issue, same as with reverse gravity.

Would explain why the applicability for RMs is so limited. Engine wouldn't support them perhaps.

Was Mega Man and Bass in the contest? I don't think it was.
Mega Man & Bass isn't getting content period.
Not in 1.7, though it probably will in 1.8 or sometime afterwards
Fingers crossed that development will continue past 1.7.

Re: The Case for Lava

So pretty much my proposition to the Devs on Lava functionality would be a hybrid of the MM11 Fire Wall Object (1 hit) vs the Chemical Solution (multi-hit). .... ...But they'd probably do it the way you propose with 1-hit and all Ice Weapons, like the Fire Wall Object. Another thought popped into m...

Re: The reason why the Enemy Contest only gave 8 bit games as options.

The reason why the enemy contest only had enemies from 8-bit games was because most if not all sprite work would already be done for them, and all they'd have to focus on is the coding and play testing. This is correct. Wrecking also stated this when the contest was launched... In order to guarante...

Re: The Case for Lava

Doesn't hurt to throw out different perspectives on the subject. I just personally like the idea of a layered functionality with lava, like how the Chemical Solution takes multiple shots from weapons or enemy projectiles to change, and how that shapes gameplay. :) Don't all hits from water or acid ...

Re: Burst Man

Exactly. Burst is one of those hybrid type RMs that can fill more than one ca Even though bombs are a part of his Danger Wrap weapon, Burst Man's main theme is bubbles . I'd say his main theme is exactly as his names states. He just wouldn't be Burst Man without either bubbles or explosions. I'd al...

Re: The Case for Lava

I still think they (all Ice weapons) should all freeze lava for consistency Truth be told this is the most likely direction the Devs will take simply looking at the Firewall object from MM11. Doesn't hurt to throw out different perspectives on the subject. I just personally like the idea of a layer...

Re: The Case for Lava

I just feel like the mechanic should be consistent across all of the ice weapons. Especially since freezing is the designated job of Ice Slasher and Chill Spike. Making them worse at it than attack weapons wouldn't make much sense. I'm just looking at it in terms of keeping weapons unique to themse...

Re: Tundra Man

I like Tundra Man, but his whole pattern comes off as very limited and not versatile. He would require some serious tweaking to make inclusion into MMM. Canonically Tundra has a great jumping ability. If the Devs were willing to tweak him *just a little* then he could jump over any obstacle in his w...

Re: Fuse Man

**What about the electric rails behind the battle arena?** Another simple solution would be to simply allow the rails to go behind tiles, functioning the same as an empty room, whenever Fuse Man is added to a room. Not as fun or inventive as having Fuse Man's electric rails as a customizable object...

Re: Hornet Man

We only have 1 nature themed robot master, Plant Man, in each forest level we have Plant Man as a boss, we need more variety. While some see him as water based, I still think Toad Man is mostly nature themed. Hornet Man was one of my top 2 RM picks from MM, up there with Magma Man. He jumps, traver...

Re: The Case for Lava

I don't think it would make sense for Ice Slasher and Chill Spike to not freeze lava I had changed my original opinion on this subject and voted in favor of all Ice weapons freezing lava, but perhaps at different rates. My last post directly above yours mentions this. All other Ice weapons/Ice Proj...

Re: Probability Game: Special Weapons

Bold added for emphasis. I still think that's on the maker putting the player in that position. If a player can destroy a platform necessary to move forward, why did the maker put that there so the player could break the level? A good maker will ensure the level is designed that it will work, regar...
