Toy Land (311009)

This is a stage I uploaded back in 1.4, but never posted it here. I have made some minor changes, and spruced up the aesthetics a little with 1.5.

I think this is the second level I've played from you, and it has the same issues as the other one. There's nothing special about it. The level is way too safe, and this makes it bland. You had one section with springs below, and spikes above that felt like a hallway of cheap shots. Not enough space to dodge the cannons, and then the cowboy enemy randomly spawns onto a spring, instantly shooting a bullet, making it raw RNG whether you dodge any of his bullets.

So when the level wasn't dry, it felt frustrating.

Experiment with proper gimmicks and tech. Don't derive difficulty from a mountain of cheap shots.
Assault on the Citadel 183101
Magic Bouncing Ball 307148
Electric Terrain 121647
Final Transmission 257962
Final Transmission 2 155321
Panicked Pursuit 170589
Triple Kaizo Trouble 251465
Fighting Infernal Flames 272513
Disastrous Factory 281324

I will probably give the spring section you mentioned an overhaul. Were there any other parts in the level where you felt the enemy placement was cheap?

The levels I like to make typically are traditional feeling levels. If the more gimmick heavy levels are your thing, most of my levels will probably feel bland to you.

I've played your level ,and i think it is a good stage! The aesthetics were there! If there are any complaints to this ,they would be that you should have put more weapons than just the Mega Buster ,and you could have use the Clown Man aesthetic(Clown Man's music track)! But otherwise ,great stage! :D
