Okay so its been a full month since the last announcement.

I'd think about just ditching this game, but I don't know any alternatives that aren't $59.99.

Okay now I'm just overreacting. Still, not much is going on around here. The Fan Challenges section is pretty much dead, and there are not as many mods as there used to be.

Yup. My addiction to news releases has me itching as well. It could mean..

* The Devs are slowing or quitting.. Which is highly unlikely considering no news announcements of the sort, and the amount of passion and work they've put into this completely free game which they receive zero compensation/profit.

* The Devs are feverishly trying to finish something before making an announcement.

Yeah, I feel the same way! :x Would it have killed them to maybe announce ONE weapon from MM11 or one enemy/gimmick? Just to keep us assured that the update is going to come out soon? This sudden drought of announcements makes me think that maybe the release got postponed or something... Maybe they stumbled upon a mechanic too complicated to program and have not figured it out yet!

I think it's important we all approach this with an perspective of gratitude. These Devs are giving us something awesome for nothing and we should be thankful for that. I want them to be feel appreciated and encouraged to keep going with MMM.

I'm not frustrated, just a little saddened/puzzled as to the sudden drought of News updates... I optimistically take it as a good sign though, not a bad one.

Same pattern of 1.5, even if they said (AFAIK) it would be NOT.

It will come when it will come. Hopefully it fixes some of the major bugs found in 1.5.5.1 especially with the teleporters and the ability to get softlocked on ladders while hit by the shademan's freezing attack, the bosses being unable to damage you if there is more then 10 robot masters on screen.

I'd like to see some more megaman 1,2,3 robot masters as it feels like there hasn't been any more of them added just yet. Not in 1.6 mind you but in a future version. 7,8,9 are the only masters to have 2 bosses. 1 - 6 stand at 4 bosses. It be kind of cool to see the guts arm in action lifting blocks, enemies and potentially being able to throw them. The other guy I love to see would be elecman cause he looks like a really cool robot master. Then there is airman with his awesome tornadoes, why didn't he get to be called tornado man? Snake man would really cool as well, though I still say Ninja man is pretty cool. I kind wish more robot masters had the slide ability.

Still looking forward to what 1.6 will bring.

See I disagree. Not once have we seen tiles or backgrounds from MM11. Only enemies and mechanics. My guess is that they are saving most of 11 for 1.7. We'll probably only get some enemies (Roughly 15 or so.) All the music and a few weapons. This update is mostly about Mega Man 10 with a few things from 11 unlike 1.5 which did both 9 and 8.

Dude, don't count your chickens before they're hatched, just because you don't see stuff from MM11 doesn't mean it won't be in 1.6, just wait until it's finished and they release it.

True, but I'm making an inference based on what we've seen. I'm not saying it for sure. It's speculation and I thought that was obvious.

I could imagine that, based on the amount of time that’s passed since the first announcement of 1.6, they’re probably trying to add a few extra things not only from Megaman 11, but also the previous nine games (not counting MM&B and the GB games). I say few because they’re clearly focused on giving us content from 10 but maybe I’m wrong and they’re running into so many issues that need to be ironed out (which wouldn’t surprise me).

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the official word was content on both MM10 and MM11. Official Wiki states that as well, though I acknowledge a Wiki can have incorrect information.

I believe Goldstorm as well.

All factors considered I believe we'll have quite a bit of MM11 content, I believe that is (in part) why the update is taking so long and is about to match patch 1.5's development length.

Match it? At this point I believe it'll SURPASS it! In fact, since in each update they have to program more and more complicated assets, I'm pretty sure that EVERY update will take longer to come out than the last.
