Robot Masters that could work with Cutsom Terrain

Post by Lunar Chris » Fri Dec 13, 2019 6:43 pm

Not sure if someone discussed this already, but I know there are some Robot Masters that could work with custom terrain.

Star Man (whenever the game designers decide to add a "no gravity" feature)
Tengu Man (MM8) (He flies all over the place and the issue of colliding with geometry could be rectified in some way)
Pump Man
Air Man (Possibly)
Flash Man
Quick Man (He jump really high so custom terrain won't be an issue)
Centaur Man (He teleports so it could be possible for him to avoid getting stuck in the terrain)
Junk Man
Cloud Man (Isn't it obvious that he floats?)
Commando Man
Yamato Man
Dust Man
Snake Man (Possibly)
Magma Man
Tomahawk Man (Possibly)
Gyro Man
Drill Man
Strike Man
Splash Woman (Possibly)
Galaxy Man
Needle Man
Nitro Man (Possibly)
Solar Man
Fuse Man
Bounce Man
Impact Man
Tundra Man (Possibly)
Torch Man (Possibly)

Any other suggestions? Who do you feel will work best with custom terrain in Mega Man Maker?

Bosses that use teleportation probably aren't very practical in a Maker environment, as its highly possible bosses won't spawn out of teleportation correctly (example: spawning into walls, floors, ceilings, level objects, and pits.) in certain room layouts. This goes for bosses like Drill Man, Gyro Man, Centaur Man, ect.

Flash Man can jump both 1 and 2 tiles high with no problems, he reverses movement direction naturally upon wall collision, pressing the shoot button causes him to short-hop towards the player and move in the direction of the player upon landing, and he attacks with Time Stopper and Flash Buster periodically. Probably one of the more simple AIs out there that shouldn't have too many issues in custom rooms. I mean, heck, Flash Man already has three completely different canon boss room layouts, "Classic (Two Stairs)", "Wily Rematch (Flat)", and "Doc Robot (Mirrored Low Stairs)".
