These look good, although too good for an 8-bit looking game like Mega Man.

I'm pretty damn sure you used an older revision of someone else's artwork and posted it as your own. Those color ramps are exactly the same.

What a compliment,
and no you are not sure, you are making an assumption.
That is indeed my original hand drawn work from start to finish on a white blank canvas.

Alright, I'll believe you. The one background you made was really similiar to the one I posted, although kind of blotted out, like it was a WIP that he might have made before posting the complete version. The sharp contrast in quality from that and the recolored Megaman 3 tilesets also helped raise suspicions.

I love it but the folks working on this made it pretty clear they much rather stick with a very old setup, both in graphics and execution.
Honestly i wish they would change their mind.
I would love more color and detail, as well as a wider screen to work with.
But i love what you got here!

To be honest, those backgrounds you made belong more to a Cave Story fangame rather than a Megaman game. They look too, how can i say it, too modern for a game that is meant to look like something from the NES era. It looks too out of place.

Your bragging about how amazing you are, even though what I am seeing here is a step above mediocre at best, won't get you anywhere. I don't even understand why you mentioned your levels. I've seen your badly designed levels in steakspices stream yesterday and I've played them myself just to make sure. They aren't creative in any way. What is creative about spikes and charge kick? I see that shit every single day since the game got released. You really think you are a genius for that? If you want to see this as a personal attack you're welcome to do so, because it is.

The idea of Original art is fine, but I think they should prioritize the stuff from the original games first and go for original artwork after. And if they decide to use backgrounds from artists like you, they should at least fit the style of the 8-bit games. Your examples don't.

I think it's pretty clear that this thread is going nowhere at this point. Locked for the time being. If DEEPO wants to unlock this thread to post more sprites, he can send me a PM.
Created this game, I guess.
