Am I missing something or are these full-screen water screens new? I don't see water at the tops of the screens.

That said, if this is new, it's definitely a nice way to make space stages (as the clip shows). If only the bubbles could be removed.

There is some clear water in version 1.5+ if you place the top of the water below a tile, the top of the water becomes like the water below it.

Ah, that must be it. It looks like there is a ceiling above the top of the stage--you can see Protoman hit his head on it at one point.

It can also be done by placing the water in the screen above and having the screens disconnected from each other.

Two things;

1: The water has to be a tile above the screen you're in for it to not show during transitions (even if it's directly below a tile). If Proto man really did hit his head during that one part then that'd mean there's only blocks 1 tile above with no room for water, thus meaning it would show in the hard screen transitions.

2: Even if this weren't the case- the water would definitely show near the end of the gif in the transitions where Proto man still has water physics under the Commando bomb puzzle areas despite water never appearing under the visible tiles.

So either they implemented a screen-wide water enabler or fixed the visual bug where the top of water would show in transitions before disappearing.

Okay yes alright okay

Wait, are those spikes at the beginning new? (The ones by the first push block)
