I looked up the release dates for 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5, then I ran the dates though a days calculator, to see how much time was between major releases

Release dates/time between
1.0 July 15/2017

Approximately 3 Months 9 Days later (101 Days)
1.1 October 24/2017

Approximately 1 Month 23 Days later (54 Days)
1.2 December 17/2017

Approximately 3 Months 6 Days later (96 Days)
1.3 March 23/2018

Approximately 4 Months 2 Days later (124 Days)
1.4 July 25/2018

Approximately 8 Months 1 Day later (244 Days)
1.5 March 26/2019

If 1.6 takes about as long as the time between 1.4 and 1.5 then 1.6 should release around the 25th of this month or by the end of the year.
However 1.5 took nearly twice as long as 1.4 so we may have to wait about another 8 month if 1.6 ends up taking nearly twice as long as 1.5. (I really hope it doesn't take that long.)

Note: I did not use the exact time of day of the releases, so calculations may be a little off.

Can you all calm down and just wait for the release? You should understand one simple thing, the developers do not prepare you something second-rate and boring, and release for a minute 10 and 11 parts of Megaman!
To make the update no worse than 1.5 for developers it is a matter of honor, because it's not just the release of the update - it's actually a holiday for all, for you and developers, which is then unlikely to be repeated again.
Think themselves, that to example at all remained from 1-6 parts of except bosses and level objects which not added? That's just it, almost all tilesets added to the game, almost all backgrounds added too, the music was so since the release of 1.0
Now about Megaman 7 and 8, it is currently 2 games, of which little has been added. Of Megaman 9 most have already been added to 1.5 and there is little of this game from what is not added yet.
In 1.6, i have no doubt that they will add from Megaman 10 more than half of what is in the game at all, and then from this game there will be little left of what was not added. And about Megaman 11 i can not say, probably they will not add very much and then there will be something else for future updates.
It is unlikely that another time there will be such brain-blowing updates as 1.5 and 1.6, because other games that are not involved there are very few left. So please calm down and wait for the release of update 1.6, the release day itself will be a holiday for you, which may be the last. After all, subsequent updates will obviously come out more often and clearly will not be so global and large.

I think something that most people probably don't consider, is that the more assets there are in Mega Man Maker, the more bug testing for compatibility needs to be done to ensure that newly added assets don't break old assets, and vise-versa. This most likely means that with every new major Mega Man Maker update, the wait time will likely get progressively longer slightly between each one.

I second this statement. Patience is a virtue. All things come to those who wait.

Due to my current inability to play MMM in a satisfactory manner on either of my devices, I will be on hiatus from activity for an indefinite period of time.

We are waiting. Everyone who's playing this game is waiting. It's just that there hasn't been the slightest clue as to how things are progessing since the Scramble Thunder announcement.

I'd also like to shed light on an issue indirectly caused by the upcoming update. Many people, such as myself, are withholding from making levels since they have ideas that bank on unconfirmed features. The Level Showcase and Fan Challenges sections are collecting dust because of this. What do you suppose can be done to help this?

I can attest to that! I'm holding back my Pokemon Red & Blue remake and my revamp of my Quackshot levels because the announcements made me believe that the update was going to come out soon, since announcements usually mean the update is close to coming.

And now that I think about it, I think THAT's the issue! We learned to associate the presence of announcements with the update being almost ready for release, and this is the first time where this is NOT the case. It threw our timings off.

In conclusion, the announcements were made too early, when the product was still far from finished.

This was kind of the purpose for the "Ongoing Challenge Events", to keep people creating levels during drought periods between update development, but its discontinued now for whatever reason and there doesn't seem to be any notable equivalent to fill the void. :|

Agreed. Though not everyone is patiently waiting. Some of the fans are a little bit rabid, but looking at the glass half full that's a sign of strong engagement (they love the Devs' work passionately).

Ding ding ding! We have a winner. Lack of teasers/progress updates is probably stoking the fires of impatience. Speaking personally I love those little tidbits which make the wait so much easier. :)

Except that they already spoiled quite a bit. If they release more announcements, they might end up making the same mistake Pokemon Sun & Moon made.

Like I said, the problem is they made the announcements too early, when the update was far from finished (when we had already learned to associate the announcements with the update being close to release), and it's the first time they've done this, thus throwing off our timing.

Apparently the eye should have been the last announcement before the release but something has not been finished yet and it is delaying the release. Just my opinion.

Looking at the announcements they've made in the past, they've previously gave information out long before release. The first announcement about content for 1.5 was Sept 25th which was Six months before 1.5's release.

One might say that logic is skewed because of Wrecking's injury which delayed 1.5. Well then if we look at first announcement for content of Ver 1.2 was Sept 23 2017 with the Oil Slider announcement. Release of Ver 1.2 wasn't until Three months later.

Associating "announcements = release date is near" is not logical thinking with this data.
and it's the first time they've done this, thus throwing off our timing.
What's throwing everyone's timing off is the expectation that 1.6 wouldn't take as long as 1.5. Reality is that the Devs needed more time than they expected, simple as that. 🤔 Some people are getting restless due to this, and the slowing of progress updates/teasers isn't helping them either.

None of us are entitled to (or deserve) any announcements, nor entitled to progress updates or even the ability to play this game, it's all by the graces of Wrecking and his team that we have any of this. Let's just be grateful and hope they decide to throw us a bone of news to chew on soon.

I hope so too. As I'm also holding off from releasing my own projects. I just hope everyone keeps interest untill that time comes.

That's pretty silly to think that considering that they've shown that updates are being made to the software.

While there hasn't been any news for a while, no one else seems to be leaving the forums/Discord en masse. Levels are still being shared (albeit at a slow rate) and some discussion is still taking place.
King Knight coming soon.
