Modding might be dead

Post by Uranus » Mon Jan 11, 2021 12:31 am

Undertale Mod Creator does not support 1.7. Will this mean the end of modding? Only time will tell

Can confirm; tried opening the data.win file using Undertale Mod Tool, only to be met with a bajillion error messages. Any help would be nice.

There's a WIP GMS 2.3 editor called Dogscepter which is a successor to Undertale Mod Tool, but it's not going to be out for a while probably.

I'm probably going to go on a hiatus from MMM modding currently.

I think the only way to save modding is to stick on 1.6 till Dogscepter releases.

Decided to check Undertale Mod Tool's repository, and one of the contributors there said that support for the version of Game Maker Studio 2 MMM uses "should happen eventually, but don't hold your breath." So there might be a chance here...

Can we still try the QuickBMS method?
Sure, it's more tedious, difficult, and outdated, but it may be our only option as of now.
We can see if THAT works.

QuickBMS doesn't work either, i doubt it would work anyway, thing was annoying to use
