Port of my old 1/2/9/10 SFX mod that i've updated for every version of Mega Man Maker since 1.5.

This mod is for those who dislike Mega Man 3 through 6's artificial, beepy sound effects and prefer Mega Man 1, 2, 9, and 10's more iconic, metallic, and PCM-ish sound effects. This is a very small and aesthetic-only mod. It changes the Player shot, player damage, Player/boss death, landing, shot reflection, water, boss door, 1-Up, Enemy damage, Energy fill/Wily Challenge path creation, teleport in, and teleport out sounds. It also mutes Bass' dash sound to make his sound design accurate to Mega Man 10.

Thanks to GamerfromtheWeb for helping out on fixing the enemy damage sound cutoff issue present in the 1.5 and 1.6 versions.

Mega Man Maker Refit (formerly known as the extra features version) contains extra things like Mega Man's palette from 9 and 10, MM1 Mets with helmet shine and larger bullets like in Mega Man 9, various tileset improvements, true NES-styled 7/8/11/PU/WW music, etc.

As of 1.7.4.3, the 1/2/9/10 SFX Mod now contains a free to use folder of the replaced sound effects so other modders can use them.

I'm still hoping that the devs will finally consider (and implement) the option to choose between different sound effects - as was described here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10390.
It must be very tiring for you to do the sound mods every single time... :)

It's not too difficult, but it can still be offputting when multiple patches come out in one day like today. About to update to 1.7.3.2.

The sounds of shots are pleasant to the ear, it's a pleasure to shoot, i hope this will be officially implemented, and not just within the mod. Since the sounds from MM 3/4/6 are unpleasant to listen to.

Damn, we need a version of it compatible with 1.7.3.3

Unless we're gonna get more small updates within few days.

You probably didn't pay attention to Mega Man 3-6's sounds. Play a copy of vanilla Mega Man Maker, listen to the sound effects, then play the mod, and listen to those sound effects. If you pay attention, you'll hear a major difference.

Also, the mod is now updated to 1.7.3.3. I will be doing the extra features version if 1.7.3.3 is the final bug patch for 1.7, and afterwards i will start work on Mega Man Maker Plus 2.

Mega Man Maker Plus is neat, so a sequel will definitely be cool. I am a newbie here and even I got to experience it a bit before I joined.

The extra features version has been ported to 1.7, the lite version is still available to those who want only SFX changes.

Updated the Extra Features version to include the following changes:

Time Man, Oil Man, Powered Up Intro Stage, Powered Up Boss Themes by Lozof Wrily.
Completed version of the Mega Man 8 Midboss theme by Jo Li.
Fixed Mega Man's 9/10 palette not being on his character capsule.
Increased the volume of the Sumatran, Concrete Lift, and Yamato Man spear launch sound effects.

The lite version of the mod is now updated to 1.7.4.1. Contains the usual sound effect replacements as well as increasing the volume of Yamato Man's spear launch sound effect.

I'm also planning on renaming the extra features version of the 1/2./9/10 SFX Mod to "Mega Man Maker Refit", which is named after the Mega Man 7 Refit hack, which improved Mega Man 7 in various small ways. The mod does the exact same (graphically of course).
