Report bugs/glitches found in version 1.5.3 of the game in this thread. Any and all bug reports are appreciated! Do not report bugs found in other versions here.

Please provide as much information about the bug as possible, such as:
  • A detailed description of the bug itself. What oddities did the bug cause?
  • What did you do to trigger the bug?. We need to be able to reproduce the bug to fix it. Screenshots, videos or GIFs would also help here but are not mandatory.
  • If you get an error message, post it. Usually these error messages show where exactly the problem lies, so they are very useful.
  • If your bug is related to the online mode and involved some kind of server error, post the error log. You can find the error log file in %localappdata% > MegaMaker > ErrorLogs. The structure of this file is year_month_day_hour_minute_second.txt. Please send the contents of this file if available.
  • A theory of the cause of the bug, if you have one. If you already have an idea of what caused your bug, it would save us a lot of time.
On top of this, feel free to include any relevant additional information about the bug. Thanks in advance, and happy game breaking!


Lists of bugs not to report
>Gray screen = Server is experiencing heavy load and can't load things up in time
>Error 500 = Server is experiencing heavy load and cannot handle your request at the moment
>Persistence error = Server is experiencing heavy load and cannot handle your request at the moment
>Error 400 = Your profile.ini and user account data don't match, delete profile.ini and try to create the account or log in
>Music still plays after closing the game = Open the task manager and end the game process
>Teleporter disappears at the other side and now it works like a one-way teleporter = It's a pretty cool bug so we've decided to keep it.
>Error -70 while uploading = DM Goldstorm details on how you are connecting to the internet and other data about your PC
> HTTPControl error = restart your MMM client and re-attempt the download. This is likely due to a connection issue.
> "Cannot load buffer file at gml_Script_GME_LoadSong" error = Often, simply restarting your computer and trying again solves the issue. Other times, waiting about a day and trying again works. There is unfortunately no reliable fix.
> "Data structure with index does not exist" error = do the following. Go to %localappdata%/MegaMaker/Settings and delete the files BeatenLevels.sav, PlayedLevels.sav and VotedLevels.sav. Restart the game and it shouldn't crash anymore. Keep in mind that this means the game forgets what levels you have played, beaten or voted on.

This was a problem in 1.5.2 as well.

When I place a portal in the boss arena with Time Man, when ever I kill Time Man while he's using time slow the portal wont appear.

So 1.5.3 seems to have messed with something. The program runs very slowly for me now. It was running perfectly about half an hour ago, before the update.

The Magma Beam stops working even before it is out of connected screens. Wouldn't it be better for level creation that it works even out of screen but still within the same section like the lasers? I tested it in 1.5.3 version

I found a very curious error about the characteristics of several bosses.
It turns out that if you put two spring men, they get together and they both do the same movements to the rhythm of the other during the whole fight. :roll:

Are astro gates supposed to save their statuses (unmoved, moved up or moved down) after hitting a checkpoint? If yes, I think currently it's not working.

This isn't new information or anything but while Jewel satellites problem with Astro man got fixed (where jewels came off the shield individually), it still occurs if you get hit by Hammer joe's projectile, Ben K's projectile, Wood man's shield, Plant man's shield and Flame man's flame pillar attack.

Do you guys still not know that I can't get bosses to give me Rush Jet, Rush Coil or Magnet Beam? This happens regardless of which boss it is and regardless of what position these three utilities are in the weapons menu.

Also, trying to get the bosses to give out these weapons seems to lock specifically the 4th weapon of the left column. If no weapon is in that slot, a Silver Tomahawk is created.

Some more bugs I found:
+ Mega gets stuck in the wall after teleporting.
+ Dropping multiple Push Blocks from the height of 7 block units results in weird vibrating behaviours, but everything is fine if they are dropped at the height of 6 units (I haven't tested the other height but yeah....)
+ Mega can clip through wall after teleporting. (Using the set up in the video, enter portal from the left and then hold left button.

I'm getting this as well - yesterday everything was running well, but after today's update there's extremely noticeable slowdown... but only in windowed mode. When playing in fullscreen, it runs at correct speed, but I much prefer playing windowed for several reasons.

So I'm not exactly sure what happened, but in one of my levels, I picked up a key, and the game just broke. Maybe I was touching the key door while picking up the key... It was a key dropped by a boss, a beached bubble man leading to the real bubble man fight. :x

EDIT: So can Fan Fiends. Is this just a quirk of the wind physics?

Best fix for this would be to have a try-Catch() that if a item/enemy would for some reason crash the game, during movement, that item/enemy is despawned. If the item is a boss, its killed instead.

Well, yes, you can do that, but the portal not appearing isn't supposed to happen and should still be fixed.

Is it just me or the controls feel slightly more clunky than in 1.4.2.1? I mean, I can't even jump while walking/running anymore. Is this a bug or i got worse in the game?

The controls work fine for me. Try re-downloading the game.

Minor bug, but going through a boss door while using Flame Sword causes the animation to play over and over until the door closes behind you.
