Option for Mega Man 1/2/9/10 Sound Effects
Title.
1) Why?:
Some people, including me, vastly prefer Mega Man 1, 2, 9, and 10's PCM-like sound effects over Mega Man 3, 4, 5, and 6's beep-like sound effects, some are also getting tired of the current sound effects. This would be a very small feature but it could be a nice option so players don't have to just stick with the sound effects we currently have.
2) How?:
Add an option in the options menu to choose which sound effects you want. A level-specific option might take up too much server space. When toggled between 1/2/9/10 SFX and 3/4/5/6 SFX, the following sound effects would change:
Enemies getting damaged
Enemies dying
Enemies exploding
Projectiles reflecting off of enemies/bosses/level objects
Boss Doors opening
Water splashing
Mega Man, Proto Man, and Bass' landing, shooting, hurt, and death sounds
Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass, Rush, Proto Item, and Treble's warping sounds
Bass' dash sound would be muted when using 1/2/9/10 SFX
3) Difficulty:
Medium-Hard, i'm not sure if the sound effects are too hard-coded into the engine in order to be swapped out.
4) Other:
An option for Mega Man 1 Pickup Graphics and Mega Man's palette from 9 and 10 would also be neat as well. They would probably be the same difficulty and would be toggled in the same way.

The sound effects are all stored in wav format, packaged in the file data.win.
I was the first one to request such feature, and I have to fully agree with you. Too bad there're boring guys saying "no" to this feature just because they born after 200x ^_^;;

Good to know. It might not be so hard after all.ZepperFang wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 9:52 pmThe sound effects are all stored in wav format, packaged in the file data.win.

It should be noted that MM1 NTSC and MM1 PAL have some differing sound effects, and should probably be separate options.
Also, the Gameboy sound effects would be a nice option as well.
