(Un)Locking slide, charge shot within a level

We already have weapon capsules. That made me think, would it be useful / reasonable if there were capsules to lock or unlock the slide or charge shot? Since there are quite a few metroidvania levels, Mega Man could evolve even more with these features. On the other hand these features seem like they should establish a basis how the character controls in that specific level, so it might shouldn't be allowed to be changed mid-level. What is your opinion on that?

Edit: Of course I also meant to include the attributes for Proto Man (Proto Strike, double damage) and Bass (dash, double jump)

I like it. It goes along with the idea of unlocking different attributes while playing a level in the bolts without shops thread. Great for exploration and Metroivania levels!

And yes, the truth is that I like your idea, although it would also be good to have capsules to enable double / medium damage and Proto strike for PM and Double jump for Bass.

Yeah, mine is just on a rather simple level. I did mean capsules for all attributes, which also means the one's you suggest. Double / medium damage would make for a sweet armor upgrade!

That's right, although I think double damage to all the characters would also be a good option for kaizo or Xstyle levels to get armor and that. You could also have to change the type of mega buster charge, as I mentioned completely in my subject.

(Slide):
-Mega man can lock/unlock slide
-Proto Man can lock/unlock slide
-Bass can lock/unlock dash
(Charge Shot):
-Mega man can lock/unlock Charge Shot
-Proto Man can lock/unlock Proto Strike
-Bass can lock/unlock Double Jump
Meaning, there would be only 2 capsules needed.
It could work right?

It could work, but changing the setup for all characters simultaneously might not be wanted if you use multiple characters (even though it is rarely the case). However, there is no option to lock/unlock slide for Proto Man yet, might be a good idea to add. On the other side: Double damage for Mega Man could also be neat!

It could work, but it might isn't be wanted if you change characters in a level with potentially different setup (even though it is rarely used). However, there is no option to lock/unlock slide for Proto Man yet, might be a good idea to add. An the other side: Double damage for Mega Man might also be something neat to add!
