playable gemini man and eddie call utility, maybe?

in the mmm wiki, it says that gemini man has a editor icon, and he has all the basic sprites for a player controlled boss. he could have the gemini laser as his buster shot and the gemini laser could be charged to a 4 directional shot to compensate the addition of gemini man.

eddie call would work like how it did in mm10, where randomly selected drops and amounts are given to the player. if that goes over mmm's limits, then the mm4/5 version, as a gimmick in the mm5 gimmick section, with editabe drops and amount given.
they didnt say no...

I’m pretty sure the reason Gemini man has all those sprites is because they planed to add him as a boss, but the way his AI worked made it so he could only work in certain room layouts.

Unless MMM somehow added in a bunch of custom Gemini Man sprites, he has barely any sprites in his source game, and therefore probably wouldn't work as a playable character.

*Needs set of sprites for a hurt/stun animation.
*Needs set of sprites for ladder climbing.
*Needs set of sprites for sliding (if weapon capsule switched while another character was in a slide/dash state).
*Needs set of sprites for any custom player states caused by weapons, level objects, enemies, bosses, or other asset.

Plus if the devs add Gemini Man as a playable character, it'll just open the floodgates for other RMs to be added. So yeah, I think it's safe to say the Playable Gemini Man is a hard no.

As for Eddie, why not just make him a placeable level object like in MM4-6? This would allow for a bit more creative freedom than just having a lootbox weapon.

There are tons of options for potential assets that could spawn random power ups other than just Eddie.

Could add those Question Mark Cans from MM3, that drop a power up at random when shot. They're only one tile big, so you wouldn't really need much space to place them.

Could also add the Rush Search weapon from MM7, that has the potential to find random power up items (as well as junk items).

Yes, but none of those move around like Eddie does, and Rush Search takes up a weapon slot. The ability to move alone gives Eddie some added versatility compared to those other options, especially if we could set it so he always drops a certain item (and ESPECIALLY if we could make him carry key and weapon capsules). Imagine a race level where the player has to make it to the end before Eddie in order to get the key to the end of the level! Or a puzzle level in which you have to create a path for Eddie using Push Blocks so he can give you a weapon that you need to break a weapon barrier blocking the exit! Although ? Tanks would be a nice addition too.

Plus with Rush Rearch I would think you would also have to place a specific item in the ground manually, otherwise he would just pull up junk. I do like the idea though. Maybe place some secret weapons in stages to help defeat a boss, and you can only find that weapon with Rush Search.
