Has the Devil Concept Been Done to Death?

The Devil Bots have always been apart of Mega Man since the very begging, and while i'm obviously a huge fan of the concept, i know others aren't and i can see why.

Devils, if done poorly, can be REEEEALLY tedious to fight, going through pass after pass can be a nightmare if your not getting nearly enough damage in, but the main complaint I've seen with devils is that their extremely repetitious and that i can also agree with, at times devils follow very simplistic patterns and rarely deviate from them, (Examples being Mark 1 and the Twins) and while later entrants like Block devil and Mark 3 have done better in shaking things up, i think personally that with enough variation of attacks and unique abilities Devils wont get old anytime soon.

It mostly depends on your preference. I always like seeing a certain enemy appear as a staple in the series, after all the Wily Capsule boss has existed since MM4, but given the memories that people who played the first game have with the big yellow guy, and I am one of those people, the first game was also my first Mega Man, I can see why some don't like it.

Think about it. If something sucks, but it's tradition, they'll likely keep doing it.
The devil concept has only been done right in MM10 IMO.

10? Block devil is extremely poorly designed...
You have little to no breathing room and there are pits extremely close to you leaving you with a high chance of falling in

to me 11 has done the Devil concept the best, its very traditional but it has enough variation to where it'll keep you engaged, it also is good that it wont take forever due to the gear system

11 is the worst tho, it's just MM1 YD with more BS
Block devil is good, because it encourages usage of weapons and careful footing. Projectiles are pretty safe and the boss is fun, espeiclaly ocnsidring it being inspired from Pico Pico Kun.

Best Yellow Devil is from Power Battle/Power Fighters IMO, that one was pretty neat.

My personal favorite devil is the Twin Devil from Mega Man 9, but i can see why people hate it.
