Full-Black Tile

This idea will change Mega Man Maker forever and will make it easier to make boss remakes:
A background tile that is simply colored FULL black.
How it works:
  • Its a simple tile that overlaps the BG.
  • You cannot place blocks inside it, but stage gimmicks can be placed inside it.
  • Its easy to code and can help another step to getting a good MM level remake (without figuring damn notepad, cause its annoying and takes more time and also risks of a level corrupt).
Simply add it please.

Quite honestly, having background tiles that are simply solid colors would help out design tremendously. We could then recreate that part of Crash Man's stage when you start going up the ladders and the background color changes. :)

I really like this idea, but can we simply not just have it so that level creators can control the background color of each and every screen? That way we could have day to night transitions as well as the classic corridor prelude before the boss.

At any rate, I definetly hope we get the option you propose one way or another. ;)

Building easier levels made me realize how difficult it is to keep a stage "light" yet interesting at the same time. It is a fun challenge projected to the creator rather than to the player. ;)

You can easily abuse these just by putting these tiles against a black background to annoy everyone.
I tried to fit Cave Johnson's lemon rant here, but it didn't fit. Stupid 255 character limit...

Oh, okay. Then yes, this is a good idea! You could stylize backgrounds easily with it...!
