Cameo Weapons from a few hacks/fangames
Now, i know fangame content is either never coming or will be added once all official content is done, but there are a few weapons from some Fangames and ROM Hacks that i think would be great to have in Mega Man Maker in the meantime.
.
These are the ones i think would be the best to add:
.
Water Cannon - Whirlpool Man's weapon from Mega Man Unlimited
A medium range, flamethrower-like weapon. This would be good for those who want a good flamethrower-type weapon but don't want to use the massively overpowered Perfect Freeze.
.
Rider Kick - Kamen Rider's weapon from Rockman CX
A close-range melee weapon where Mega Man, Proto Man, and Bass would use their own fists and feet to attack enemies and bosses. This would be a great weapon for beat 'em up levels, and could also be a great substitute to the Power Adaptor and Flame Sword.
.
H.C.R. Boomerang - Ring Man's weapon from Rockman 4 Minus Infinity
The Ring Boomerang, but it can be held in place for more damage. It might be good for puzzle levels. The H.C.R. Boomerang should probably look different though, so people are able to tell if they're using the H.C.R. Boomerang or the original Ring Boomerang.
.
Soak Rain - Soak Man's weapon from Mega Man: Super Fighting Robot
The Soak Rain is like a combination of the Air Shooter and Thunder Wool, and it's also better than both of them in ways. This weapon does a lot when you shoot out just one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of these weapons would be put in the "Other" category alongside the Shine, Nado, and Perfect Freeze.
These weapons shouldn't be too hard to add, going by their functions, but the weapons would likely require permission and approval from MegaPhilX, Zenkaku Himajin, Puresabe, and MrWeirdGuy in order to be added.
Cameo weapons rarely get added to the game, so i'm not expecting these to be added, but it would be cool to get these in the game in some form, either as the original, or as a buffed official weapon.

How about Virus outbreak from Mega man rock force?
I really needed to update my signature...

If we ever get Rush Bike, Rider Kick would be so amazing.

How about Yoku Attack? Since Yoku Man is a public domain character, nobody can stop us from adding Yoku Man things.

Re: Cameo Weapons from a few hacks/fangames
Truly there is a wealth of ideas from fangames, especially the completely remade from the ground up Mega Man games.
Once all the official Mega Man games are covered I hope the Devs of MMM reach out to some of these fangame creators for permissions to include some of the higher quality content. Not just Cameo Weapons, but perhaps some Cameo Tilesets, Cameo gimmicks and Cameo Soundtracks categories.
Focusing on just Cameo Weapons here are some that stick out to me as particularly useful for potential map design and new gameplay opportunities:
Mega Man Rock Force:
Circuit Breaker: Basically a more functional version of MM10's Solar Blaze.
https://youtu.be/TBam10fBs1k?t=257
https://youtu.be/ULWfek4Oy20?t=160
Virus Outbreak: A truly original behaving shield variant. Spreads like MM9's Water Shield when fired but doesn't lose projectiles when hit and has a boomerang effect that returns the projectiles back to you like many other MM weapons.
https://youtu.be/Z5HFYCjjvV8?t=157
Mega Man Unlimited:
Yo Yo Cutter: An interestingly creative mix between Wheel Cutter from MM10 and Shadow Blade from MM3.
https://youtu.be/ueps7jLrXJ0?t=230
MakeAGoodMegaManLevel Series:
Power Orb: Completely original Shield type weapon. Opens up a whole new world of map making strategies and gameplay options.
http://magmmlcontest.com/wiki/index.php/Power_Orb
https://youtu.be/OHiFy5pCc-Y?t=1208
Force Beam: While not a clever weapon, the ability to wield the brute force of the Force Beams Mega Man players have known to dread has a certain appeal to it.
http://magmmlcontest.com/wiki/index.php/Force_Beam
https://youtu.be/igdTJnX8Kwk?t=52
Hazard Trapper: Blobs of goo never looked so good. It's functionality strikes me as a more flexible version of MM10 Chill Spike with the rolling blobs covering greater area, but a different application because they don't stick to walls.
http://magmmlcontest.com/wiki/index.php/Hazard_Trapper
(apologies for the choppy video, it's all I could find)
https://youtu.be/igdTJnX8Kwk?t=62
And even though it's not publicly released yet....
Mega Man Recharged:
Tectonic Crash: A double direction floor crawler which can also be used to bounce off enemies for a higher jump if enemies are directly hit by Mega Man's fist. This would be a good alternative to MM11 Scramble Thunder if map makers wanted a strictly floor bound double direction floor attack.
https://youtu.be/UkR5wg-Oj5k?t=489
Sand Curtain: Another original application style weapon where Mega Man can attack to the front and blanket an entire area immediately beneath his firing area.

MM Super Fighting Robot:
https://youtu.be/84OoBytON-k?t=31
Coal Barrage at first glance seemed unoriginal to me. After I noticed it's subtle traits I found myself really interested in it.
To earn a slot in MMM any weapon needs to prove itself as offering something original vs any other weapon already in MMM to avoid redundancy. This is especially important for any cameo weapon because it must be original outright against any possible future MM weapons that could be added.
Coal Barrage fires five burning coal projectiles that can travel through tiles. The initial pattern of the coals are in an arrow formation at the instant they are shot. The projectiles have a slight up arc pattern that then arcs down covering Mega Man's 2 to 5 o'clock (give or take).

This travel pattern isn't very original because there are several other weapons that cover that area, though Coal Barrage uniquely offers a very wide angle of that pattern that expands as the projectiles travel.
The most interesting thing I found of Coal Barrage is that it offers something many weapons don't, lingering area of effect. The burning flames that trail off the coal projectiles aren't just for show, but actually offer a blanket area of damage in addition to the coal barrage projectiles themselves. This feature adds a distinct uniqueness and usefulness to this weapon within it's personal projected attack area.

The blanket area of effect can also vary wildly if a coal projectile is deflected when striking an enemy for damage, breaking it's usual pattern it will still continue to drop small damaging flames in it's new route (note if deflected off a shield the projectiles leave no fire trails).
Pros:
Travels through tiles
Attack expands as it travels
Unique area of effect attack that blankets damage against enemies for multiple hits
Can be deflected off enemies to redirect blanket damage area
Looks cool

The lingering fire will not appear if the weapon is used underwater.
Also, if a Coal hits an enemy from above, it will bounce up slightly without losing momentum.

How about Cyber Distorter or Match Blast from the MaGMML series?
I've got to make an announcement, but physically can't due to the 255 character limit. What a shame.

I proposed Power Orb also. Would be a great new addition to bolster the usage of MMM's custom built environments.BradenCarrYT wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 11:10 amWhat about Power Orb... Man this would be fun to just bounce like the man himself

Alas, we're probably going to have to wait to all the other Mega Man weapons have been covered. So it might be a while yet before we see a new cameo weapon added to the roster, if ever.
