Never saw a thread about this, so I decided to make one.

This is a simple thread to discuss on gimmicks you made in Mega Man Maker, using assets available in-game.
A simple one, for example, is using a background color that looks exactly the same as water, to create levels with gravity that changes along the way.

Finally, I wanted to make this thread for a while, but never did.

Pistons. (From Mercury's stage)
Grab some Footholders (Or Crash Lifts, but I prefer Footholders because they can go through blocks) and put them in a straight line, make their destination a few blocks above their starting point. Repeat this until you have a line of them.
Your screen should look like this.

As you can see, if you're standing still, it works fine, but if you start moving...

You glitch through the floor, to fix this, simply put some springs under the Footholders.

Whoever played my Wall Man level, saw my "wall of death" gimmick that's just a bunch of lasers with custom H value. Those I haven't used in a level so far, but I think they're much more worthy attention.

Simple enough gimmick:



Yoku Fan Fiend

Combine a Fan Fiend with a Yaffu and there you go, you have a Yoku Fan Fiend. When the Yaffu is blowing you, it's like a normal Fan Fiend; however, when it starts to pull you in, the effect of the Fan Fiend is cancelled, hence the name.

This is probably the best "custom" gimmick I've ever seen. Simple, clean, effective. I've gotta use this in a level.

I mean, practically a footholder pushing the box in the first place can be considered a bug by itself, but since it "crushes" it, the box stays with the holder since it is being pushed and attached at the same time

I know I already made a thread about this, but eh, why not talk about the gimmick.

Recreated Jet Sled (Frost Man)

This is not 100% perfect, but if you're looking to recreate Frost Man's jet sled segment, this gimmick should do the job. The Daidines represent the sled, though you need to hop on a new one to change direction.

As for the JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE signs? A Curlinger will do for the noise. You can use Lift Platforms to signal JUMP, but I think Force Beams are the only way to signal SLIDE.

Basically all you have to do to install it is make green lasers go upwards, and some way to indicate the right way. I Highly recommend you use large energy pellets
